INTERIOR PAINT COLOR SELECTION TIPS

With many of you renewing and revitalizing the interior of your homes, I've received many questions about selecting paint colors. I thought some of you might appreciate my sharing answers.

Q. I'm trying to find a nice steely blue paint for my master bath. Any suggestions?

A. If you apply makeup in the bathroom, make certain you have a magnifying makeup mirror with built in lighting that emulates daylight. Blue walls make skin tones look gray, so to compensate, you apply too much cheek color, foundation, and eye shadow. In natural, light you look like a clown.

Personally, for bathrooms that are used for shaving and putting on makeup, I prefer neutral shades on walls. If you have a specific color favorite, accessorize your bath with towels, rugs, window treatments, soap dishes, tissue dispensers, etc

Your questions are always welcome. Post them on my blog, or email: Robin@RobinLechnerDesigns.com

  1. Interior painting is something that can be easily and inexpensively done by any homeowner. Even for the person who has never done any painting, it is a chore that can be accomplished. It just takes the proper procedure and the use of some simple tips. In no time, a room can be transformed just by changing the color.
