WORLD INTERIORS DAY - THE RESULT

World Interiors Day is an annual event designed to spotlight Interior Design/Architecture. The event actively engages professionals, national organizations, design enthusiasts, and the general public to explore creativity, imagination, vision, and passion in relation to the role of Interior Design/Architecture in society, culture and the future environments.

It just so happened that World Interiors Day coincided with the 1-Year anniversary of the National Association of Professional Women - Aventura Chapter of which I'm founding President. I thought the occasion was a wonderful way to bring together the love of my profession as Interior Designer and love of assisting women achieve success.

World Interiors Day was celebrated as a collaborative event that included DCOTA (Design Center of the Americas) in Dania Beach, FL, the Decorative Crafts showroom, and Robin Lechner Designs. 35 men and women were treated to a walking tour led by DCOTA’s Marketing Director Josh Fein. A champagne reception and light lunch was hosted by Carolyn Teti of Decorative Crafts, during which a short discussion was led by Interior Designer Robin Lechner, who explained how designers navigate their way through the professional interior design world, accessing the industry’s best manufacturers.

The underlying objective of the event was to demystify the world of the Interior Designer/Architect, and expand DCOTA’s image, as a source of design information and inspiration that welcomes the public and encourages collaboration with design professionals.

It achieved its goal, and was a resounding success.

Thank you all who made the day possible,
and who so enthusiastically participated.
