I'd like to share my answer to a question from a reader looking for a color for her master bath: "There are a few elements to consider before selecting a color: how much natural light does the bathroom receive? What kind of lighting is installed? What size is the bathroom? Will all 4 walls be painted? Will it be bright enough for make-up application and shaving? Will the color affect skin tones? What sheens are you considering?

I prefer lighter shades for bathrooms in consideration of a  bathroom's typically smaller size. Walls painted the same hue reflect off of one another and become intensified. Get sample colors and paint large squares on the walls before you invest in large paint quantities. And don't forget the ceiling!"
