Interior Design Warming Trend: HD Americas Exhibition

International exhibitors at the HD (Hospitality Design) Americas Exhibition at the Miami Convention Center featured warm tone trends for 2014. The decade long reign of cool stainless steel, chrome and nickel has come to an end (with the exception of kitchens and baths). Warm-toned metals are making a big splash on the contemporary design scene in lighting, fixtures, and decorative accessories while new materials, finishes, architectural fabrications, and silhouettes in tones of copper, brass and gold are featured in every aspect of interior design. The 2014 warming trend has an exceptional richness, depth of tone, and sophistication that’s new, original, and fresh.

Warm-toned metallics work superbly with the colors forecast for 2014, supporting the soft, neutral, and earthy color palettes. Not restricted to any one style, the warming trend enhances both contemporary and traditional designs and everything in between.

Take a leap of faith by mixing warm and cool metals. Select one to take the lead, using the others for accents.

Stay Inspired!
