Why Did Thomas Jefferson Paint Ceilings of His Homes Turquoise?

Turquoise repels insects! In the blog - If Walls Could Talk - posted June 3rd, I suggested that painting a ceiling a tint of the same color as the walls would make the room appear larger. Now you have an extra insentive to try it out! You might try a light turquoise on the ceiling with a related color on the walls. A related color would be colors that are next to each other on a color wheel.

    interesting to paint the ceiling the same color as the walls .. I have seen wallpaper and ceiling paintings, it gives the room a wonderful impression
