Participants and voyeurs of the international art world
descend upon Miami the first week of December (6th-9th) for the global attraction known
worldwide as Art Basel – a convergence of three major art shows plus music,
lectures, seminars, and parties that add depth to the extreme breadth of the
event. In addition to Art Basel that
displays works of over 2,000 20th and 21st century
artists, are Art Miami showcasing
emerging artists and Design Miami
featuring the best in international interior design.
Local galleries throughout southeast Florida will hold
special exhibitions. I had the pleasure of being invited to preview several gallery
exhibitions and will report back.
